As one of Google’s launch partners for the Daydream VR platform, CNN set out to transform news engagement in virtual reality through an ambitious test-and-learn project. Leading the creative vision, user testing, and iterative refinement, I helped deliver CNN’s first VR mobile experience. Working with a small cross-functional team, we rapidly prototyped and tested eight proof-of-concepts (POCs) using an accelerated sprint model.

Highlights included designing innovative interaction styles, contributing an animated loader for a polished user experience, and conducting rigorous user testing to inform final designs. I also traveled to Google to collaborate and share progress, ensuring alignment and inspiration throughout the process. The final product launched successfully, establishing CNN as an innovator in VR storytelling and laying the groundwork for future immersive content strategies.
